For the Chinese, ‘88’ symbolises a double whammy of good luck and fortune. Today was certainly that day! I have been fortunate and lucky enough to be ‘locked down’ with mum, celebrating her 88th Birthday. A lovely Autumn stroll at Lightater Country Park, afternoon tea & cake, and, despite not being able to dine out, we still got to indulge in her favourite Char Kway Teow. A wonderful day – as they say, the most simple things can bring the most happiness.
